Back to school is upon us. My daughter begins in about two weeks but I know many others start sooner. This year my daughter will be in Kindergarten. We have decided on a hybrid university model private school. (More on this soon)
I have been getting together all the things to make our school year a success. Amazon is an amazing shopping option. Beat the crowds and know that you can find what you need. Amazon is having some great back to school sales.
9 back to school Items To make our at home learning easier
Laminator + laminating sheets. The sky’s the limit for this bad boy. Child’s chore chart, flash cards, or art that you want to keep. In just a few minutes they will be laminated perfectly for safe keeping.
Label Maker. This label maker is amazing! You can design what you want on your phone and then print it right onto a label. It is very compact and has many customization options.
150 Pre-sharpened pencils. This is a great deal and something that any teacher would appreciate if you just dropped off. It is amazing how many pencils that teachers go through in a year. They always have spare pencils for the student who seems to forget their daily.
Bentgo Kids Chill Lunch Box. This comes with a built in ice tray to keep your child’s lunch fresh until they are ready to eat it. What a cool idea!
Timers. Stick with me for a second. Let me convince you, that if you are a parent, then you NEED these. Quiet time, potty training, cleaning their room, tv time, reading time… the possibilities are endless. My daughter LOVES these and is thrilled to set it and stay on task until it beeps. GET YOURSELF ONE!
Math Wrap-ups. Whether or not you are homeschooling, I think this is a great product to have at home to reinforce basic math. Set your little timer and have them do 5-10 minutes a day. I’ve linked the whole set but you can purchase each individually as well. I grabbed the addition one for my daughter.
Crayola Pip Squeak Markers. This is another favorite at our house. In fact, this is the second set that we have owned. The first set was a gift and when we used up all the ink of our favorite colors, I was happy to buy a new set. Here’s the pros – easy to keep them organized (no crushed box), easily to take on the go, plus the baby boy can’t open the case – yet… It’s great. Who knew you could be so passionate about markers. But hey, that’s parenting.
Back to school is such a fun time of year. This was the first time to officially go back to school shopping with my daughter and we both had so much fun! I am very excited to get into our new schedule this fall.
