Fall Family Fun
The holiday season will be here before you know it. And before the weight of that starts stressing you out. Pause. Take a deep breath. Let’s talk about fall. That’s what is what is here and now. I know your schedule may be busy with kid’s sports, church events, and work deadlines, but to the best of your ability I challenge you to take moments to simply enjoy. Enjoy the outdoors. Enjoy time with your family. Embrace the messy and invite your kids into the kitchen to help bake some goodies. It does not have to be extravagant, but pull out your calendar and mark a few days this month to have intentional family fun. Pick out what you want to do, make a list of what supplies you need, and add it to your cart. Guess what?! All the preparation is done. You are ready to pause and enjoy some sweet moments with your family during this busy season.
fall Crafts
Fall crafts do not have to be extravagant for your kids to enjoy them. Let them get their hands dirty and dive into the fun. Remember, it’s not necessarily about the outcome but about the fun they have in the process. We were making the window leaves listed below and I had an idea in my head of how they were going to turn out. While I was washing down my toddler after he had his fun, my daughter ended up blending all the colors together and was super proud of how realistic her leaves looked. But ya know what? She loved them and she had fun. That’s all that matters.
How it started....
how they ended up
- paint a watercolor pumpkin
- Paint some pumpkins
- window leaves
- fall wreath
- fall leaf print
Fall Desserts
My daughter loves jumping into the kitchen with me and she’s getting pretty good. My boy loves the final product.
Don’t worry. You don’t have to eat everything that you make with your kids. Send them to work to share with the office. Pack some up for a neighbor. Include your kids in the process and teach them the joy of blessing others.

Here’s a list for all of my local families. No, we do not have apple orchards with fresh baked donuts like they do in the midwest but there are some pretty fun things to do. Check out the links below.
